I love a challenge...and I LOVE making cards!!

Mother's Day weekend was a full one - speaking at a couple of events, church, taking my Mom and family to the beach - but if I could get a FREE day, I'd love to make cards and scrapbook. The beach was wonderful....we laughed and played - even my mom!  It was a GREAT day and I am so thankful for my dear husband, and our adorable teenage boys.

One of the blogs I follow, My Pink Stamper - at www.mypinkstamper.com hosted a special challenge day with 12 crafting challenges.  The Day was for National Scrapbooking Day.  There were challenges every hour, along with video tutorials and ideas.  I am so thankful - even though I missed the posting by about 10 minutes.

It forced me to just get into a project.  I didn't have time to sit down but for a couple of hours.  I was able to complete the cards you see below.... thanks Robyn for the challenges - I now know I don't have to sit and stew over an idea - but just get the ball rolling!

Off and running....

So I have decided that I get so much personally out of creating cards and also from the inspiration of others - that I will continue to post pics of projects along the way, and participate in project challenges.  As of the moment, I have no followers - and I heard you are not a leader until you have a following :)  So, while I am not a leader in the paper-crafting world....I am content to hold myself accountable by putting my own projects out there.  This blog, will be what holds me accountable.  So, if anyone out there is reading, thank you.....tell me, what inspires you??

So, I decided now is the time, I have participated in my first blog hop. As soon as I can figure out how to post my creation....I will do just that. I participated in the Pinkalicious Blog Hop - sponsored by mypinkstamper.com. I love Robyn's creativity and her sense of humor. So - watch for my new card....(shhh, It's a valentine for my sweet heart - I am "N love."

Creative Avoidance....

Have you ever felt like you'd rather see what other people can do with their crafting - than do something else on your own? Well, use their inspiration to try something of your own - imitation is the best form of flattery, so I have heard.

So, go ahead, find a page or a card you like - and re-create it! Then, do another, only change just one element - try a technique you have always wanted to, but just haven't taken the time to.

Or here is another idea - just like when you find out your mother in law is coming over, and you can clean in a snap - pretend you BFF is coming over and you just remembered it's her birthday! Now, go make her a card!!
